Suzy V is a Dutch singer-songwriter who knew from a young age that music would be her life. With catchy pop songs rooted in her Sicilian heritage, her sound is nostalgic, cinematic, and organic — as heard on her debut album Sound of the Sea (2019) and her EP Pages Full of Thoughts (2020), both created with producer Wieger Hoogendorp (Caro Emerald, Goldband, Sophie Straat).

Her singles Storm Inside, Somebody Just Like You, Lola and Give It Up received national airplay on Dutch radio stations including NPO Radio 1, Radio 2, Radio 5 and NPO Soul & Jazz, while she also performed live on RTL 4. She toured the Netherlands with Popronde in 2019 and played support shows for artists such as Trijntje Oosterhuis, Blackbird and Marieke Jager. As a backing vocalist, she shared the stage with Trijntje Oosterhuis and Thijs Boontjes.

 

In 2021, Suzy V wrote A Lie To Believe for NPO Radio 1’s Lockdown Sessions, recorded with the renowned Metropole Orkest, arranged and conducted by Jochen Neuffer. She later released the singles New Moon and Safe Bay, produced by Paul Willemsen and co-written with Tim Dawn, further deepening her sound towards warm, soulful pop.

 

Suzy V is now entering a new artistic phase with her most ambitious project to date: the concept album The Heat Of The Rising Sun, co-produced with Benjamin Rheinländer and set for release in fall 2026. Unfolding like a modern opera, the album is a bold, cinematic journey where heartbreak transforms into empowerment. Infused with Sicilian drama, mafia flair and unapologetic female energy, it marks her most personal and theatrical work yet, closing the chapter on toxic love and opening a powerful new era.
